We have a winner

The Grand Jury of Skittles Judges met today and we declared there to be two supreme Skittles above all the rest. In case you'd like a little refresher on my job judging the worthiness of Skittles, go here.

So, for five hours, five other judges and myself examined the various shapes and colors of the Skittles, popped the little morsels in our mouths, swirled around the sometimes sweet, sometimes sour, and many times boring flavor of the little candies and then would swallow and discuss the experience. Me, I stay pretty quiet. I put forward a Skittle I thought to be above the rest (and in the end it was one of our champions) but beyond that I would only comment to object upon the motion to crown another Skittle as Best in Show. I can't say that I am pleased with the Skittles that were put forward by the other judges, but then I am becoming quite ambivalent about these things. To me, most Skittles have the same boring taste. I went to a special Skittle Tasting Academy too, so I shouldn't be saying this! But alas, I am and wonder if really I should be judging Skittles in the future. I am happy that new Skittles are produced daily by so many different kinds of manufacturers. I am unhappy that the patents on certain Skittle recipes and molds are constantly being infringed upon (I am guilty of this sometimes for sure).

Today, I also had the fortune to become acquainted with a very good and very nice flute player. She hired me to do a recording session for a competition prelim tape. We hit it off quite well so hopefully I have found a distributor to help HDEZ INC. create great tasting Skittles. Truthfully, I like to think that my creations are more like Reese's Pieces. But I digress.
Dear all,

On a day when you have not a worry,
take some time, don't bother to scurry.

It is too brief,
this thing called life.
It is too filled,
with stuff of strife.

And when it happens that you must hurry,
remember these words, as spoken in a flurry:

You will
not bore
or cause
to snore
if in
yourself
you do
adore.

Go on, you folks with kids named Suri.
Awaits an interview, the great Ann Curry.

Don't give me grief,
oh darling wife[er].
The skills come back,
as sharp as a knife.

Now that is tight!
