Wind bag

I guess it is something in the air? I've been asked (by proxy) to write a piece for clarinet and piano for a true chamber music concert in May (actually to be played in the salon of someone's house). Lately, I've been listening to the Brahms Clarinet Quintet and Clarinet Sonata. Additionally, I had the fortune (?) of seeing Derek Bermel perform his own works recently as well. Seeing as how air is the medium through which sound travels, then I guess it is something in the air!

Of course - this means I have to finish the flute quartet. I'll get on that right away.

That's great man - anything that gets you to write something is good news :)

I look forward to hearing both pieces! A concert in someones house - man - how 19th century - awesome.

I am excited to hear your new music. I guess that a little hibernation was all you needed to get the engines of creation moving once again.

The F minor. I'll put mine in B minor so that it:
a.) Satisfies my B-craving that you got me on
b.) is a tritone away from the brahms (and I know you like tritones).
