You can't, you won't, and you don't stop
It's been in my head the whole day - I am not sure why. Anyway...
School is school lately. Nothing too terribly exciting. I've been tweaking the programming routine that I give to the jv3k. This time around I'm seeing a bit more efficiency in processing power. In non-code speak: lately I am trying to focus on being more concise and clear in my explications and teaching. I am not sure why, but this is really hard. Usually, I babble, burbble, bru-ha-ha, ballyhoo (it's all talk) - then something pithy will come out. I find it quite annoying but I'm working on it.
I am on a committee to find a replacement for the Magnificent Major 2nd. There is another committee to find a replacement for the Magnanimous Major 3rd but I'm not on it. At each step in the job process I've wondered aloud "how on Earth did I land this gig?!" Indeed, it all seems to random sometimes.
On another front: the premiere for my new clarinet and piano piece was canceled. The reasoning has nothing to do with my piece (the performer still wants it). This is sort of good news as I am not as far along on it as I'd like to be.
Things are ok. I've been playing Super Paper Mario and have really been enjoying it. It provides a nice break from school.
