Thursday sucked. Friday, however, was ok.

Yesterday (Thursday) was terrible. Everything was going great:
  • Bugles, sing! was premiered (I've got audio on Myspace right now. It'll take a while to incorporate a player into this site).
  • Loosing some weight (dieting again - cravings under control)
  • N has open house ("moving on!")
So, we went for ice cream (I had sweet cream) and U man was being an f'-ing pain. We get back to the car (the van) to leave and...

**nothing**

Crap. The battery is dead.

So, I call up jv3k so she can take me and the kids home while the starter service comes out to jump the van. Well, the van is jumped, but it sounds like the alternator is going to go. We get it home, leave it on for a while (as we are told), and it stalls out halfway in the garage (so, we can't close the garage!).

Great.

On top of this - we can't put it in neutral because it needs power to do so.

Yes, it was wonderful.

Long story short: we did eventually get it out of the garage, a tow truck came at about 11:30pm, and we took it to Nissan. Somehow, I think the van's feelings were hurt when we bought the Cooper and it decided to take out it's anger on us.

This takes us to today.

I had a great day today. My Theory class actually understood what I was talking about (and it was pretty advanced). jv3k and I went to lunch off-campus just so we could get Mini time (that is all I think about lately - driving the Cooper). Yesterday, I had a "Mini me" moment at the Post Office. I pulled up into a space, got out, and this old lady stops, does a double take looking at me, sizing me up, and then looking at the car, and I continue walking. Quite funny. Anyhow, I also got a chance to give a totally improvised, though well organized (I thought, at least) presentation on music technology to music librarians (a favorite bunch of mine). At the end, jv3k and I got them bowing piano (which is always fun) and it was a great nerdle time.

Yes, Friday was ok.
