Lately
You've no idea how bad I've wanted to sit down and write - music, text, design - anything! I've got so much happening in my world right now. Here is a quick photo tour:
Holy passive aggression, Batman!
These two gentlemen, TweakerH8r and MagicJohnsonMadness, accompanied me to the Composers Inc. opening concert. This dynamic duo was placed in charge of setting up the stage and ensuring that the Three Cornered Hat didn't have to freak out. Well, what the dynamic duo and I were subjected to was the most spectacular and destructive passive aggression from a single individual (not the Three Cornered Hat, mind you). Here are pics of us decompressing at California Pizza Kitchen.

In the end, how many people does it take to set up for a concert? Four: one to telepathically bitch and moan and three to stand in amazement as the one undoes all work accomplished thus far.
On how I've become a California snob
Yes, I live in the most wonderful place in the U.S. Where you live is shit compared to Norcal. Face it, you'll never have overly liberal residents, stinky-stanky tree sitters, a perfect balance of good'n'turrible traffic, and the best scenery and nature in an urban area in the U.S. I went to the NSMIT conference last week in Charlotte, N.C. It was the first time that not being in California seemed strange (and I've been to North Carolina plenty of times). I missed the rolling hills, mixture of dry grass browns and lush green oaks, and that big moat in the middle known as the San Francisco Bay. Somehow, I think I came off a bit as a snobby Californian with anecdotes of how great CA is compared to anywhere else. Oh well - suck it.
Here are some pics from the conference. I met fantastic peeps and we all engaged in a hyper geeking out of music technology. I was especially happy to meet someone as tall and as big as me who was a guitarist (he even has size 16 feet!). He is the dude on the left in the 4th picture.

Write a book, young man
My Computer Music class is a blast this year. I've finally got this shit together. I am seriously considering a book and will keep you posted on that front. Here is a pic of one koto player who was also featured in this blog two years ago.

I'm seriously considering writing a book on sound and multimedia. Opportunities are opening up which may allow such a project to happen. I'll keep you posted, blog.
Finally, we are in the process of closing on Henry, our new home. I don't have any pics of that - yet.
Here is a pic of the manuscript from my latest work, Gigantor!
