News in the housing market
Do you watch the news?
NBC? CBS? ABC? CNN? Any three letter organization with a talking head that got a degree in reading teleprompter will do.
Perhaps you've heard about troubles in the housing market?
Skyrocketing foreclosures, short sales, surplus inventory, the credit crunch...
Woe, my friend, is certainly NOT me.
You see, faithful blog followers (all five of you), what is one man's misfortune is another's opportunity. While there are people out there a plenty who have been stung by their voodoo ARMs that are readjusting really high, and there are those who have perhaps given up because they feel that they have been "priced out" (I thought that was us until recently), there are also people like me: patient folks who saw the froth of the market, knew it was gonna go flat like frathouse beer, and then POUNCED.
The Wifer and I are "in contract" to buy a home.
Let me tell you, we got a motha-f*cking STEAL for this property. I'd put a link but I am more and more weary of this kind of info being on the internet (at least linking my home to my online identity).
jv3k and nederlands will get to see the new pad soon enough. Expect a housewarming party and a hanuchristwanstice party.
I'll be taking a picture of the "pending" sign when I go out to the property new week.
Blog - I am truly happy.
