Notes

Inspired by Jim Whelden's evocative poem about the Universe, MAN EXPANDING is a brief orchestral tone poem filled with lush color and big harmonies.

MAN EXPANDING

The sun, my smiling face,
sees the burnished side of things.

The moon, me in my dreaming,
sets aside cavils...

My own celestial handsomely blue body
creamy with cloudy dew
bathes daily among bubbly stars.

I love most my body's
warping out sparkling ebony.
